"Like the Moon In Water"
The stone sculptures tell of landscapes - of the mountain, the river and the valley. To us they are standing up, sitting and lying down.

<
The River : A circular sculpture split into four pieces and put back together again. The smallest piece is polished. It is like the moon reflected in water - sitting, rolling in the river. Red granite-1.5 x 1.5 x 0.8m

  <
The Mountain:
A block of stone broken into four pieces, then pieced and back together around an existing pillar of concrete. This gives the impression of a massive boulder standing up like a mountain.Red granite - 1,5 x 1,5 x 0,8 m.

>
The Valley: A single boulder, with a highly polished finish on the top-side, lying down in the valley.Red granite - 0.6 x 1.2 x 0.4 m.

Evolution
:
In this relief I have worked with themes of ageing and evolution of man. Above the relief on the left hand side are silkscreen printed images of the ageing of humans, ranging from the newborn's face to an aged face. On the right hand side the theme is evolution, from a monkey's face to man.The two processes merge in the middle.

Evolution: Protrudent brick wall and photograph of silkscreenpress , 3 x 6m.
